U-147 left Kiel under the command of Reinhard Hardegen on 9th Feb 1941 and arrived at return on 16th Feb 1941 after one week.

On the 22nd Feb 1941, U-147 left Bergen under the command of Reinhard Hardegen and after two and a half weeks arrived at return on 12th Mar 1941.
Reinhard Hardegen hit one ship on this patrol from convoy HX-109.-
On 2nd Mar 1941 he sank the Norwegian 4,811 ton Augvald, sailing with convoy HX-109.

| 16.04.1941 - 11.05.1941 Third Sailing - active patrol
U-147 departed under Eberhard Wetjen from Kiel on 16th Apr 1941 and arrived at return on 11th May 1941 after three and a half weeks.
Eberhard Wetjen hit one ship on this patrol.-
On 27th Apr 1941 he sank the Norwegian 1,334 ton Rimfakse.

U-147 left Bergen under the command of Eberhard Wetjen on 24th May 1941 and after just over one week arrived at return on 2nd Jun 1941.
Eberhard Wetjen hit two ships on this patrol, one was from convoy HX-127.-
On 31st May 1941 he fatally damaged the British 2,491 ton Gravelines, a member of convoy HX-127.
