On the 5th Sep 1942, U-332 left La Pallice under the command of Johannes Liebe and arrived at return on 6th Dec 1942 after just over thirteen weeks.

On 29th Sep 1942 he sank the British 6,008 ton Registan.

| 28.01.1943 - 24.03.1943 Sixth Sailing - active patrol
U-332 departed under Eberhard Hüttemann from La Pallice on 28th Jan 1943 and after nearly eight weeks arrived at return on 24th Mar 1943. At 1340 HRS on 9th Feb 1943 in square BE 19, U-332 came under attack from an unidentified aircraft. U-332 was not damaged by the attack. On 21st Mar 1943 in square BF 81, U-332 came under attack from an aircraft of RAF 172 Squadron. U-332 was heavily damaged in the attack.
Eberhard Hüttemann hit one ship on this patrol from convoy ON-166.-
On 21st Feb 1943 he damaged the Norwegian 5,964 ton Stigstad, sailing with convoy ON-166.

U-332 left La Pallice under the command of Eberhard Hüttemann on 26th Apr 1943 and arrived at return on 29th Apr 1943 after three days. At 0804 HRS on 29th Apr 1943 in square BF 72, U-332 came under attack from an aircraft of RAF 224 Squadron. U-332 was destroyed in the attack.
