| Operations information for U-358 | 12.01.1943 - 14.01.1943 First Sailing - active patrol
U-358 left Kiel under the command of Rolf Manke on 12th Jan 1943 and arrived at return on 14th Jan 1943 after two days.
| 16.01.1943 - 08.03.1943 Second Sailing - active patrol
On the 16th Jan 1943, U-358 left Kristiansand under the command of Rolf Manke and after over seven weeks arrived at return on 8th Mar 1943.
Rolf Manke hit two ships on this patrol and both of them were in convoy: One was from convoy HX-223 and one was from convoy UR-59.

On 22nd Jan 1943 he sank the Swedish 1,456 ton Neva, sailing with convoy UR-59.

On 26th Jan 1943 he sank the Norwegian 8,221 ton Nortind, a member of convoy HX-223.

| 11.04.1943 - 15.05.1943 Third Sailing - active patrol
U-358 departed under Rolf Manke from St. Nazaire on 11th Apr 1943 and arrived at return on 15th May 1943 after nearly five weeks. On 14th Apr 1943 U-358 came under attack from an aircraft of RAF 10 Squadron. U-358 was only slightly damaged in the attack.
Rolf Manke hit two ships on this patrol and both of them were in convoy, both of them were from convoy ONS-5.-
On 5th May 1943 he sank the British 2,864 ton Bristol City, part of convoy ONS-5.

On 5th May 1943 he fatally damaged the British 5,212 ton Wentworth, from convoy ONS-5.
| 10.06.1943 - 01.09.1943 Fourth Sailing - active patrol
U-358 left St. Nazaire under the command of Rolf Manke on 10th Jun 1943 and after nearly twelve weeks arrived at return on 1st Sep 1943. At 1859 HRS on 13th Jun 1943 in square BE 94, U-358 came under attack from an aircraft of RAF 228 Squadron. The boat defended itself with flak and the aircraft was destroyed.

On the 23rd Oct 1943, U-358 left St. Nazaire under the command of Rolf Manke and arrived at return on 16th Dec 1943 after more than seven weeks.
| 14.02.1944 - 01.03.1944 Sixth Sailing
U-358 departed under Rolf Manke from St. Nazaire on 14th Feb 1944 and after over two weeks arrived at return on 1st Mar 1944.
Rolf Manke hit one ship on this patrol.-
On 1st Mar 1944 he sank the British 1,192 ton HMS Gould.
