U-50 left Helgoland under the command of Max-Hermann Bauer on 6th Feb 1940 and arrived at return on 4th Mar 1940 after nearly four weeks.
Max-Hermann Bauer hit four ships on this patrol, one was from convoy OGF-19.-
On 11th Feb 1940 he sank the Swedish 1,854 ton Orania.

On 15th Feb 1940 he sank the Danish 4,895 ton Maryland.

On 21st Feb 1940 he sank the Dutch 4,760 ton Tara.

On 22nd Feb 1940 he sank the British 4,580 ton British Endeavour, sailing with convoy OGF-19.
