Tenth Sailing - active patrol
U-584 left Brest under the command of Joachim Deecke on 23rd Mar 1943 and after nearly nine weeks arrived at return on 24th May 1943.
On 25th Mar 1943 in square BF 46, U-584 came under attack from an aircraft of RAF 172 Squadron. U-584 was not damaged by the attack.
At 1603 HRS on 5th Apr 1943 U-584 came under attack from an aircraft of RAF 120 Squadron. U-584 was not damaged by the attack.
Joachim Deecke hit one ship on this patrol from convoy ONS-5.
  • On 5th May 1943 he sank the American 5,565 ton West Madaket, part of convoy ONS-5.
02.09.1943 - 31.10.1943
Eleventh Sailing
