10.02.1941 - 01.03.1941
First Sailing - active patrol
U-69 left Kiel under the command of Jost Metzler on 10th Feb 1941 and arrived at return on 1st Mar 1941 after more than two weeks.
Jost Metzler hit three ships on this patrol, two of these ships were in convoy: One was from convoy HX-107 and one was from convoy OB-288.
  • On 17th Feb 1941 he sank the British 8,456 ton Siamese Prince.
  • On 19th Feb 1941 he sank the British 5,693 ton Empire Blanda, sailing with convoy HX-107.
  • On 23rd Feb 1941 he sank the Norwegian 1,908 ton Svein Jarl, a member of convoy OB-288.

Second Sailing - active patrol
On the 18th Mar 1941, U-69 left Lorient under the command of Jost Metzler and after three and a half weeks arrived at return on 11th Apr 1941.
Jost Metzler hit two ships on this patrol and both of them were in convoy: One was from convoy OB-302 and one was from convoy SC-26.
  • On 30th Mar 1941 he sank the British 3,759 ton Coultarn, part of convoy OB-302.
  • On 3rd Apr 1941 he damaged the British 4,887 ton Thirlby, from convoy SC-26.
05.05.1941 - 08.07.1941
Third Sailing - active patrol
U-69 departed under Jost Metzler from Lorient on 5th May 1941 and arrived at return on 8th Jul 1941 after just over nine weeks.
Jost Metzler hit six ships on this patrol, two of these ships were in convoy, both of them were from convoy SL-76.
  • On 21st May 1941 he sank the British 4,601 ton Tewkesbury.
  • On 21st May 1941 he sank the American 4,999 ton Robin Moor.
  • On 31st May 1941 he fatally damaged the British 5,445 ton Sangara.
  • On 27th Jun 1941 he sank the British 5,423 ton River Luga, sailing with convoy SL-76.
  • On 27th Jun 1941 he sank the British 7,603 ton Empire Ability, a member of convoy SL-76.
  • On 4th Jul 1941 he sank the British 2,918 ton Robert L Holt.

On the 31st Jan 1942, U-69 left St. Nazaire under the command of Wilhelm Zahn and after six and a half weeks arrived at return on 17th Mar 1942.

Ninth Sailing - active patrol
U-69 departed under Ulrich Gräf from St. Nazaire on 12th Apr 1942 and arrived at return on 25th Jun 1942 after ten and a half weeks.
Ulrich Gräf hit four ships on this patrol.
  • On 1st May 1942 he sank the British 671 ton James E Newsom.
  • On 12th May 1942 he sank the Norwegian 6,826 ton Lise.
  • On 13th May 1942 he sank the American 2,606 ton Norlantic.
  • On 21st May 1942 he sank the Canadian 1,927 ton Torondoc.

  • On 9th Oct 1942 he sank the Canadian 2,375 ton Carolus, part of convoy NL-9.
  • On 14th Oct 1942 he sank the British 2,222 ton Caribou, from convoy NL-9.

On the 2nd Jan 1943, U-69 left Lorient under the command of Ulrich Gräf and arrived at return on 17th Feb 1943 after six and a half weeks.
