16.05.1940 - 19.05.1940 First Sailing - active patrol U-122 left Kiel under the command of Hans-Günther Looff on 16th May 1940 and arrived at Trondheim on 19th May 1940 after three days.
21.05.1940 - 24.05.1940 Second Sailing On the 21st May 1940, U-122 left Trondheim under the command of Hans-Günther Looff and after three days arrived at Wilhelmshaven on 24th May 1940.
24.05.1940 - 25.05.1940 Third Sailing U-122 departed under Hans-Günther Looff from Wilhelmshaven on 24th May 1940 and arrived at Kiel on 25th May 1940 after one day.
13.06.1940 - 22.06.1940 Fourth Sailing - active patrol U-122 left Kiel under the command of Hans-Günther Looff on 13th Jun 1940. On the 22nd Jun 1940, U-122 was sunk. Hans-Günther Looff hit one ship on this patrol. On 20th Jun 1940 he sank the British 5,911 ton Empire Conveyor.
