U-13 was located by HMS Weston when operating E of Lowestoft, near convoy FN 184. Weston successfully attacked U-13 with depth charges, rescued all 26 crew and also recovered some Enigma rotors.

Thanks to Ron Young for providing the following accurate WGS84 position for where U-13 lies: 52°27'.311 N 002°01'.506 E in 28m lowest astronomical depth and 11 nautical miles SE of Lowestoft. Ron says that U-13 is upright and intact and lying with a starboard 45-degree tilt. The conning tower is also intact and the hatch is open.
