First Sailing
U-194 left Kiel under the command of Hermann Hesse on 12th Jun 1943 and arrived at return on 24th Jun 1943 after more than one week.
On 20th Jun 1943 in square AE 86, U-194 came under attack from an aircraft of RAF 269 Squadron.
At 1607 HRS on 24th Jun 1943 in square AL 15, U-194 came under attack from an aircraft of USN VP84 Squadron. U-194 was destroyed in the attack. The boat defended itself with flak without destroying the aircraft.
