U-214 departed under Günther Reeder from Brest on 30th Nov 1942 and arrived back at Brest over twelve weeks later on 24th Feb 1943.
On 4th Jan 1943 in square EC 93, U-214 came under attack from an unidentified aircraft. U-214 was not damaged by the attack.
On 6th Jan 1943 in square EC 69, U-214 came under attack from an unidentified aircraft. U-214 was not damaged by the attack.
Günther Reeder hit one ship on this patrol.
  • On 30th Dec 1942 he sank the 4,426 ton Paderewski.
04.05.1943 - 10.05.1943
Tenth Sailing - active patrol
U-214 left Brest under the command of Günther Reeder on 4th May 1943 and returned to Brest on 10th May 1943 after six days on patrol.
At 1014 HRS on 7th May 1943 in square BF 44, U-214 came under attack from an aircraft of RAF 58 Squadron. U-214 was heavily damaged in the attack. The boat defended itself with flak without destroying the aircraft. OL Günther Reeder was wounded by aircraft fire during the attack, the IWO Lt. Rupprecht Fischler took command of the boat and returned to Brest.
18.05.1943 - 26.06.1943
Eleventh Sailing - active patrol
On the 18th May 1943, U-214 left Brest under the command of Rupprecht Stock and arrived back at Brest on 26th Jun 1943 after five and a half weeks on patrol.

U-214 laid mines on this patrol. These mines were hit by 1 ship.
The 6,507 ton American Santa Maria was damaged by a mine on 20th Jun 1943.
22.08.1943 - 30.11.1943
Twelfth Sailing - active patrol
U-214 departed under Rupprecht Stock from Brest on 22nd Aug 1943 and returned over fourteen weeks later to Brest on 30th Nov 1943.

U-214 laid mines on this patrol. These mines were hit by 1 ship.
The 1,525 ton American USS Dorado was sunk by a mine on 15th Oct 1943.
12.02.1944 - 15.02.1944
