| Operations information for U-226 | 31.12.1942 - 10.03.1943 First Sailing - active patrol
U-226 left Kiel under the command of Rolf Borchers on 31st Dec 1942 and arrived at return on 10th Mar 1943 after nearly ten weeks. On 18th Jan 1943 in square AK 63, U-226 came under attack from an unidentified aircraft. U-226 was not damaged by the attack.
| 10.04.1943 - 17.05.1943 Second Sailing - active patrol
On the 10th Apr 1943, U-226 left Lorient under the command of Rolf Borchers and after over five weeks arrived at return on 17th May 1943.
Rolf Borchers hit one ship on this patrol from convoy HX-233.-
On 18th Apr 1943 he sank the British 7,134 ton Fort Rampart, sailing with convoy HX-233.
