U-227 left Kiel under the command of Jürgen Kuntze on 24th Apr 1943 and arrived at return on 30th Apr 1943 after six days.
At 0955 HRS on 30th Apr 1943 in square AE 68, U-227 came under attack from an aircraft of RAAF 455 Squadron. U-227 was destroyed in the attack.
