Operations information for U-303
31.12.1942 - 08.03.1943 First Sailing - active patrol U-303 left Kiel under the command of Karl-Franz Heine on 31st Dec 1942 and arrived at Lorient on 8th Mar 1943 after nine and a half weeks. Karl-Franz Heine hit one ship on this patrol from convoy ON-166. On 23rd Feb 1943 he sank the American 4,959 ton Expositor, sailing with convoy ON-166.
01.04.1943 - 15.04.1943 Second Sailing - active patrol On the 1st Apr 1943, U-303 left Lorient under the command of Karl-Franz Heine and after two weeks arrived at La Spezia on 15th Apr 1943.
23.04.1943 - 24.04.1943 Third Sailing U-303 departed under Karl-Franz Heine from La Spezia on 23rd Apr 1943 and arrived at Toulon on 24th Apr 1943 after one day.
21.05.1943 - 21.05.1943 Fourth Sailing - active patrol U-303 left Toulon under the command of Karl-Franz Heine on 21st May 1943. The boat was lost on 21st May 1943.
