Notes for U-345
U-345 was bombed and damaged during a raid on Kiel by the USAF on 13th Dec 1943, the damage was severe enough that the boat was decommissioned that same month. After being surrendered in May 1945 the boat was destined for England when it sank on 27th Dec 1945 after hitting a mine.
