11.03.1943 - 29.03.1943 Fifteenth Sailing - active patrol U-431 departed under Dietrich Schöneboom from Pola on 11th Mar 1943 and arrived at Toulon on 29th Mar 1943 after two and a half weeks. At 1025 HRS on 26th Mar 1943 in square CH 58, U-431 came under attack from an unidentified aircraft. U-431 was moderately damaged by the attack. Dietrich Schöneboom hit one ship on this patrol from convoy MKS-10. On 26th Mar 1943 he fatally damaged the British 6,415 ton City of Perth, sailing with convoy MKS-10.
