U-507 left Lorient under the command of Harro Schacht on 4th Jul 1942 and returned over fourteen weeks later to Lorient on 12th Oct 1942.
Harro Schacht hit seven ships on this patrol, one was from convoy OS-36.-
On 16th Aug 1942 he sank the Brazilian 1,905 ton Annibal Benévolo.

U-507 departed under Harro Schacht from Lorient on 28th Nov 1942. On the 13th Jan 1943, U-507 was sunk. On 13th Jan 1943 in square FB 55, U-507 came under attack from an aircraft of USN VP-83 Squadron. U-507 was destroyed in the attack.
