25.03.1943 - 15.05.1943
First Sailing - active patrol
U-532 left Kiel under the command of Ottoheinrich Junker on 25th Mar 1943 and arrived at Lorient on 15th May 1943 after over seven weeks.
At 1442 HRS on 24th Apr 1943 in square AK 33, U-532 came under attack from an aircraft of USN VP-84 Squadron. U-532 was only slightly damaged in the attack.

Second Sailing - active patrol
On the 3rd Jul 1943, U-532 left Lorient under the command of Ottoheinrich Junker and after seventeen weeks arrived at Penang on 30th Oct 1943.
Ottoheinrich Junker hit five ships on this patrol, one was from convoy BM-71.
  • On 19th Sep 1943 he sank the British 7,128 ton Fort Longueuil.
  • On 29th Sep 1943 he sank the British 6,479 ton Banffshire.
  • On 1st Oct 1943 he sank the British 7,267 ton Tahsinia.
  • On 11th Oct 1943 he sank the 3,610 ton Jalabala.
  • On 20th Oct 1943 he damaged the British 5,845 ton British Purpose, sailing with convoy BM-71.
04.01.1944 - 19.04.1944
Third Sailing - active patrol
U-532 departed under Ottoheinrich Junker from Penang on 4th Jan 1944 and arrived back at Penang on 19th Apr 1944 after just over fifteen weeks on patrol.
Ottoheinrich Junker hit three ships on this patrol.
  • On 11th Jan 1944 he damaged the British 7,283 ton Triona.
  • On 26th Jan 1944 he sank the American 7,176 ton Walter Camp.
  • On 27th Mar 1944 he sank the British 2,281 ton Tulagi.
17.05.1944 - 18.05.1944
Fourth Sailing
U-532 left Penang under the command of Ottoheinrich Junker on 17th May 1944 and after one day arrived at Singapore on 18th May 1944.

Fifth Sailing
On the 1st Dec 1944, U-532 left Singapore under the command of Ottoheinrich Junker and arrived at Batavia on the same day.
13.01.1945 - 10.05.1945
Sixth Sailing - active patrol
U-532 departed under Ottoheinrich Junker from Batavia on 13th Jan 1945 and after more than sixteen weeks arrived at Liverpool, UK on 10th May 1945.
Ottoheinrich Junker hit two ships on this patrol.
  • On 10th Mar 1945 he sank the British 3,656 ton Baron Jedburgh.
  • On 28th Mar 1945 he sank the American 9,298 ton Oklahoma.
