U-561 left Kiel under the command of Robert Bartels on 25th May 1941 and arrived at Brest on 1st Aug 1941 after more than nine weeks.
Robert Bartels hit one ship on this patrol from convoy OG-69.
  • On 28th Jul 1941 he sank the British 1,884 ton Wrotham, sailing with convoy OG-69.

On the 20th Aug 1941, U-561 left Brest under the command of Robert Bartels and after four and a half weeks arrived at Lorient on 20th Sep 1941.
