U-618 departed under Kurt Baberg from St. Nazaire on 21st Feb 1943 and arrived back at St. Nazaire on 7th May 1943 after more than ten weeks on patrol. On 28th Apr 1943 in square BD 69, U-618 came under attack from an aircraft of USN VC-9 Squadron. U-618 was not damaged by the attack. On 3rd May 1943 in square BF 72, U-618 came under attack from an aircraft of RAF 10 Squadron.
