U-632 left Kiel under the command of Hans Karpf on 24th Dec 1942 and arrived at Marviken on 26th Dec 1942 after two days.
| 29.12.1942 - 14.02.1943 Second Sailing - active patrol
On the 29th Dec 1942, U-632 left Marviken under the command of Hans Karpf and after more than six weeks arrived at Brest on 14th Feb 1943. On 15th Jan 1943 in square AK 37, U-632 came under attack from an aircraft of RAF 206 Squadron. U-632 was moderately damaged by the attack.
Hans Karpf hit one ship on this patrol from convoy HX-224.-
On 3rd Feb 1943 he sank the British 8,190 ton Cordelia, sailing with convoy HX-224.
| 15.03.1943 - 06.04.1943 Third Sailing - active patrol
U-632 departed under Hans Karpf from Brest on 15th Mar 1943. On the 6th Apr 1943, U-632 was sunk. At 1917 HRS on 6th Apr 1943 U-632 came under attack from an aircraft of RAF 86 Squadron. U-632 was destroyed in the attack.
Hans Karpf hit one ship on this patrol from convoy HX-231.-
On 6th Apr 1943 he sank the Dutch 7,065 ton Blitar, a member of convoy HX-231.

| Notes for U-632 | On 6th April 1943 while flying over convoy HX231 West of Rockall, 86 SQN Liberator 15th Grp CC RAF (FL C W Burcher) visually picked up U-632 at 1917Hrs. Burcher attacked with 4 D/Cs - 3 of which hung up - and 1 missed. As the Liberator came around for a second run, some of the diving boat was still visible and 4 D/Cs were dropped, producing an oil patch. 48 men were lost with U-632.
