First Sailing - active patrol
U-659 left Kiel under the command of Hans Stock on 15th Aug 1942 and arrived at return on 16th Sep 1942 after four and a half weeks.
Hans Stock hit one ship on this patrol from convoy ON-127.
  • On 10th Sep 1942 he damaged the British 8,029 ton Empire Oil, sailing with convoy ON-127.

Second Sailing - active patrol
On the 14th Oct 1942, U-659 left Brest under the command of Hans Stock and after just over three weeks arrived at return on 5th Nov 1942.
Hans Stock hit three ships on this patrol and all of them were in convoy, all of them from convoy SL-125.
  • On 30th Oct 1942 he damaged the British 6,405 ton Tasmania, a member of convoy SL-125.
  • On 30th Oct 1942 he damaged the British 7,131 ton Corinaldo, part of convoy SL-125.
  • On 30th Oct 1942 he sank the British 7,519 ton Bullmouth, from convoy SL-125.

Third Sailing - active patrol
U-659 departed under Hans Stock from Brest on 12th Dec 1942 and arrived at return on 5th Jan 1943 after three and a half weeks.
08.02.1943 - 20.03.1943
Fourth Sailing - active patrol
U-659 left Brest under the command of Hans Stock on 8th Feb 1943 and after more than five weeks arrived at return on 20th Mar 1943.
On 18th Mar 1943 in square BF 46, U-659 came under attack from an unidentified aircraft. U-659 was not damaged by the attack.
25.04.1943 - 04.05.1943
Fifth Sailing
On the 25th Apr 1943, U-659 left Brest under the command of Hans Stock and arrived at return on 4th May 1943 after just over one week.
