First Sailing - active patrol
U-664 left Kiel under the command of Adolf Graef on 20th Oct 1942 and arrived at Brest on 10th Nov 1942 after three weeks.
05.12.1942 - 13.01.1943
Second Sailing - active patrol
On the 5th Dec 1942, U-664 left Brest under the command of Adolf Graef and after five and a half weeks arrived at La Pallice on 13th Jan 1943.
Adolf Graef hit one ship on this patrol from convoy ON-153.
  • On 16th Dec 1942 he sank the Belgian 5,859 ton Emile Francqui, sailing with convoy ON-153.
14.02.1943 - 28.03.1943
Third Sailing - active patrol
U-664 departed under Adolf Graef from La Pallice on 14th Feb 1943 and arrived at Lorient on 28th Mar 1943 after six weeks.
Adolf Graef hit two ships on this patrol and both of them were in convoy, both of them were from convoy ONS-167.
  • On 21st Feb 1943 he sank the American 4,659 ton Rosario, a member of convoy ONS-167.
  • On 21st Feb 1943 he sank the Panamanian 8,807 ton HH Rogers, part of convoy ONS-167.

Fourth Sailing - active patrol
U-664 left Lorient under the command of Adolf Graef on 29th Apr 1943 and after nearly six weeks arrived at Brest on 9th Jun 1943.
At 0233 HRS on 2nd May 1943 in square BF 45, U-664 came under attack from an aircraft of RAAF 10 Squadron. The boat defended itself with flak without destroying the aircraft.
At 0800 HRS on 2nd May 1943 in square BF 43, U-664 came under attack from an aircraft of RAAF 10 Squadron.
21.07.1943 - 09.08.1943
Fifth Sailing - active patrol
On the 21st Jul 1943, U-664 left Brest under the command of Adolf Graef. U-664 was lost on 9th Aug 1943.
