On the 6th Jun 1944, U-989 left Brest under the command of Hardo Rodler von Roithberg and returned to Brest on 8th Jun 1944 after two days on patrol.

U-989 departed under Hardo Rodler von Roithberg from Brest on 8th Jul 1944 and arrived back at Brest on 10th Jul 1944 after two days on patrol.
