The ship was attacked with three single torpedoes, fired at 09:09, 09:11 and 09:12 CET, but all missed. U-507 then fired eight rounds from her 10.5 cm gun and missed the ship again with a torpedo fired at 09:52 CET. Finally the fifth torpedo, fired five minutes later sank her.
